Steven Cohen, MD, FACS

Dr. Steven Cohen is a plastic surgeon specializing in aesthetic and regenerative facial surgery. Dr. Cohen focuses on advanced facial rejuvenation techniques such as the deep plane face and deep neck surgery with gland and muscle contouring if needed, rhinoplasty, brow and eye lifts, genioplasty and regenerative and stem cell approaches to facial fat grafting.

Dr. Cohen has a worldwide influence due to his many innovations including the invention of injectable tissue replacement and regenerative facial fat grafting. In addition to holding provisional patents on various other widely used regenerative medicine devices, he hosts surgical demonstrations and educates surgeons at lectures at home and across the globe. He has been recognized by both the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS) and the Aesthetic Society (Tiffany Award in 2017) as a leading innovator driving plastic and regenerative surgery into the future.

Dr. Cohen has written over 170 publications and has completed three textbooks, most recently a textbook on Regenerative Facial Surgery along with his colleague and co-founder of the London Regenerative Institute, Dr. Tunc Tiryaki. Dr. Cohen is very involved in teaching and has been a Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Diego for over 20 years. He has received 4 “Professor of the Year” awards, including in 2020. Dr. Cohen’s work in Craniofacial Surgery is recognized throughout the world for his inventions and contributions in complex intracranial reconstructive surgery for children with severe birth defects.
