MaryAnn Guerra, MBA spent her career facilitating the creation of successful and progressive health, science, technology and start-up businesses. She co-founded Aesthetics Biomedical (ABM) in 2016. ABM focuses on the identification of minimally invasive aesthetic devices, that are combined with products to ensure the best patient “experience” and outcome. ABM’s launched with the Vivace RF Microneedling device and successfully marketed the Vivace Experience. MaryAnn previously co-founded and serves as Chairman, BioAccel, a non-profit organization and is Managing Director of the BioAccelerator Fund 1, located in Phoenix, Arizona. Ms. Guerra’s work history includes time as President, TGen Accelerators, and Chief Operating Officer, TGen, an independent research institute. MaryAnn’s impressive career began at the National Institutes of Health serving as the Executive Officer, National Heart Lung and Blood Institute and the Deputy Director of Management & Executive Officer at the National Cancer Institute.
Ms. Guerra has been recognized by the Phoenix Business Journal as one of the 20 People to Know in the Start-Up Space, their 2015 Business Leader of the Year Award, Arizona Business Magazine’s 2016 Arizona Business Leader & 2014 Top 50 Most Influential Women Award. In 2013, she received the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year Award. Ms. Guerra serves on the Board of the AZBIO Industry, the ASU School of Biomedical Engineering Advisory Board, Nasseo, Yolia Health and Aesthetics Biomedical. Ms. Guerra holds an undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and an MBA from George Washington University in Science, Innovation and Commercialization.
